This popular circular hike starts at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Saalburg and leads through the Taunus Nature Park. Along the way you pass the Herzbergturm tower with magnificent views and relics of the Roman Limes. Ideal for history enthusiasts and families.
🌳 Kurlandschaft Circular Trail
This certified circular trail leads through the historic spa landscape of Bad Homburg. Highlights include the Kurpark with Kaiser-Wilhelms-Bad, Schloss Bad Homburg with the White Tower and the Russian Chapel. The route can also be divided into shorter stages.
📚 Hölderlinpfad (Hölderlin Trail)

Getting There
Bad Homburg is well connected to Frankfurt by S-Bahn (S5) and U-Bahn (U2 to Gonzenheim). Many hiking trails start directly at the stations. Free parking is available at the Saalburg Roman Fort, at Hohemark and of course at our golf course.
Best Time of Year
The Taunus is a rewarding hiking destination all year round. In spring the fruit trees blossom, in summer the forests provide shade, autumn enchants with colours and in winter the snowy landscape has its own charm. Our terrace is open from April to October.
Equipment
For most trails, good hiking shoes and weatherproof clothing are sufficient. Bring plenty of water – or plan a stop at our restaurant.
